Current Mood: bored I just bought 2 tickets to the Lewis Black show on April 1, and this time I’m going. To make it better it’s less then 4 miles from us, so we could walk, but…well… I’m lazy… and gimpy, so odds are we will drive.
I was looking at my feet comparing the right to the left. My left foot is still very swollen and where the break is, is about 3-4 times larger then the right foot. It still feels like I step on an exposed electric cord when I put weight on it and after closer examination, I can see the big toe is swollen to. My next Drs appointment is Wednesday, so I am sure I will be full of good news like an operation and 3-6 weeks more of sitting on my ass wanting to go out and do things.
How’s this for odd… I feel fat, I feel disgusting and want nothing more then to start working out on a regular bases and get into shape and start looking and feeling better but of course I have to wait to be able to walk. The last time I felt like this I weighed 236 lbs and I went on a simple diet and got down to 208, but went back up to 225. The last time I weighed myself I weighed 222, this morning, feeling fat, I weighed myself… 214…..
Mmmmm kay……..

“The Indiana Pacers traded Al Harrington and Stephen Jackson to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday for forwards Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy as part of an eight-player deal designed to shake up two struggling teams. The Pacers also sent guard Sarunas Jasikevicius and forward Josh Powell to the Warriors, who gave up forward Ike Diogu and guard Keith McLeod.”
We fought to get Al Harrington who wanted to be a Pacer again, who actually plays in games hurt and actually makes a difference on the court and in the locker room only to trade him 2 months later for no one and we keep the whiny ass Jermain Oneal who wants traded, that no one wants in the locker room and has missed 5+ games already this year over pussy ass injuries?????
Larry Bird and Donny Walsh REALLY dropped the ball on this one, worse fucking trade I have ever seen in the NBA.

I just got back from the foot doctor. When I was in Kansas I did a lot of physical labor and moving and crouching down and running and just about anything else you can on your feet, I did.
After 4+ years of working behind the desk with little physical activity I was actually surprised how well my feet held up, little to no pain for the majority of the 11 days, until I was flying home that’s when I was feeling a fair amount of pain in my left foot.
The next day I was in major pain, and for the next 2 days I just sat in a chair and relaxed since I thought the pervious 11 days was catching up with me. But the pain never left my foot, even when I was not on my feet I could and still can feel it. So after a month I realized something was wrong and I went to the foot doctor today to have it looked at expecting sprained muscles at worse.
Not a broken foot.
I actually broke my foot working, so whoever said “hard work never hurt anyone†is full of shit cause that’s a load of crap, I’m hurt dammit and it was caused by hard work!
I forgot what the bone I broke is called, but follow your big toe on the bottom of your feet to the “ball†there are 2 small bones there about the size of a peanut, I broke one of those which was very noticeable on the x-ray even to me. I am now wearing inserts that have a 30% chance of healing it. In 3 weeks I go back and get more x-rays to see what it is doing, but worse case I get a foot operation to remove the bone since it is easier to remove the bone then fix it. Of course if I do get it removed I am looking at a week in bed and 3 weeks of pain and healing, good thing I work from home and at a desk.
So life is wonderful, no bare feet, no running or anything sports related and I get to wear inserts which make me feel much older then I am.
