Fulfilling Friday

We did some things today I was pleased to get done, we went to the beach for my nieces school project of “Flat Stanley” and got all the food we will need for Thanksgiving and then came home and rearranged the office. We had the office set up so we could turn half of it into a sitting area, but it never really came out as we liked, so we took over the entire office as an office and it’s like adding an entire wing to the room, much more open and spacey.

We then ate dinner as we caught up on our DVR shows, one of which was Monday Night Raw the show dedicated to Eddie Guerrero which was a really emotional show.

I have not watched wrestling for the most part the last 5 or so years, I still keep up on the news and will always get Wrestlmania every year, but I lost a lot of my passion for it, so its rare I watch it. But this show was reminding me of Owen Hart dieing, which was what made me realize it was either wrestling or my wife, and I choose her, so it was something I have not thought of in years.

WWE played a song that I thought fit perfectly with Eddie, sung by Johnny Cash written by I believe NIN

“Hurt”

I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
The only thing that’s real
The needle tears a hole
The old familiar sting
Try to kill it all away
But I remember everything

[Chorus:]
What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
Upon my liar’s chair
Full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
Beneath the stains of time
The feelings disappear
You are someone else
I am still right here

[Chorus:]
What have I become
My sweetest friend
Everyone I know goes away
In the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt

If I could start again
A million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

Classic Cash in this song, perfect in every way, I do not recall if I ever heard NIN sing it, but I would like to, but in the mean time I will be getting “American IV” by Cash so I can listen to this classic.

I just wanted to thank Eddie for doing what he did and with the passion he did it with, there are too few of you left, both in wrestling and in life.

RIP

Eddie Guerrero died today

Eddie Guerrero was found in his hotel room in Minneapolis with his toothbrush in his mouth. He apparently died while brushing his teeth. At this point, the belief among WWE personnel is that Guerrero died of heart failure.

Another great one is gone.

Thursday…. Ho hum

The weather has really cooled off for the most part, we still get a day or 2 of hot weather, but for the most part is a cool low 80’s and light humidity. Now I just have to get the urge to work outside, but I really have no interest in doing that just yet which is odd since the last 4 months that is all I wanted to do but it was just way too hot.

We Lost…huh?… we won?? WE WON? HOLY SMOKE WE WON!!!

Yes it is true, after 6 straight losses’ we beat a good Michigan St team 28-21 at Purdue. The way Purdue played today team wise is what I expected we would play like on our worse game this year, but it turns out it was the best of the year.

Typical Purdue crap at the end of the first half, we control the clock, good play after good play and inside the 10 with 20 seconds left the QB gets drilled, he fumbles, MSU recovers, runs it 10 yards, get striped, Purdue almost has it, MSU recovers and runs for a TD. I swear this sort of thing ONLY happens to Purdue. So instead of 21-14 Purdue at half it was 21-14 MSU, but we shut them out in the second half for the win. He best we can hope for is 5-6 this year, no bowl game for the first time in 8 years. Ill and IU are left and then we wait for next September.

NW beat Iowa with a great comeback and looks like Penn St is beating Wisc. I love the “ESPN Plus” for Football games, $19.95 for a weekend worth of NCAA Football. I only buy it when I need it which is when Purdue is on PPV and now I get to have a wider choice of games to watch, I had ND/UT on but ND was killing them then I turned to FSU/NCST and got bored so now it’s Penn St/Wisc and it is now PSU 21-0 in the 2nd.

Colts at Pats Monday Night… Let’s see if we can get the monkey off our back and beat NE there, and the way our D is playing I think we can.

GO HORSE!

Our Night

Tonight we watched Star Wars: ROTS on DVD, I Love that movie! We also got Batman Begins, a total killer movie, best of all, but that isn’t saying much at all when compared to the others, and actually, it was one of the better movies I’ve seen in a long while, great story, characters and action.
