Everett, WA – Arrived Wednesday February, 20, 2013 about 2:45pm

We made it!

We are staying at some close friends who have a RV lot in their backyard with a alley entrance. So the joke is “Her best friend lives in a box in the alley behind her house”. We will be here for at least 2 week’s but looking for 3-4 weeks. Just need to sort things out and this is the perfect time and place to do so.

Unfortunately, this is a one time thing as they will be redoing their entire property with such additions as a new patio and chicken coop etc, where the RV lot currently is.

The only regret I will have is “wishing it was Spring/Summer/Fall and not Winter.

However I can not think of one other place I would rather be then right here, right now. My Big Red Wife, my Evil Cat’s, and two of the best friends I have ever had are all within 50′ of me at all times pretty much.

We had a interesting drive. A for sure learning experience for the both of us. Too many “self inflected wounds” that could have been avoided, but I am confident we will not repeat in the future.

Over the last few day’s we have learned more then we knew prior regarding Admiral Ackbar. Things we would never learn outside of living here. Sadly some are heartbreakers. Such as we will not be able to put the cat door to the cargo space for the kitty litter. There is a large support beam in the way. That one hurt. A lot. That was our “perfect” solution.

Life goes on.

We also decided that we need to just get our living/work space installed and worry about “how it look’s” next year when we have more experience and have spoken to more who have experience we have yet to learn.

I have the tile installed and the Ikea items assembled. We need to get the desktops prepared and then start moving things around and verify it will work and then secure everything down.

Hope to have our living/work space completed by Friday.

Monday I am taking off to spend some time with a close friend as Pauline will have time to chill on her own doing whatever it is that she does when I am not around.

• So now we have to rethink it all over again……there is so much to do….but back to work for me. ~P ->
• Hubby got a big disappointment today, can't put the litter where we wanted, cuz of a support bar is in the way of a cat door =( ~P ->
• Been doing my online work for the last few hrs and took at break to eat, now back to work…so much to do. ~P ->
• Got some online work done this morning, worked on the bedroom organization more…so much more to do…..icks ~P ->
• Settling in for the night….it is a huge mess but we'll get there, tomorrow is a lot of work for me before I attack our new home. ~P ->
• We got here by 3…..spent a few hrs getting Ackbar ready just for sleeping tonight….so much more to do get it setup ~P ->
• But until we are set up and they get to know it…..it'll take time for the kitties to get use to it ~P ->
• The RV is loaded & a mess, did a little of what I could until we are parked & slide outs are extended. Cats not happy at all ={ ~P ->
• On the road, not the best beginning this morning, but we are on our way. About 90min out from our stop. ~P ->

• So we'll do 2 trips to Ackbar tomorrow before we leave for good. Right now I'm getting ready to attack work while hubby cleans the carpets~P ->
• We were going to take our tables and office chairs over tonight, but I have work that I need to do, and that would make it difficult. ~P ->
• Hubby and I got a lot of stuff taken over to Ackbar, I worked on organizing it while he worked on getting the house finished on cleaning ~P ->

• Time to head upstairs to our air mattress….only 2 more nights on it. ~P ->
• But one thing I can feel good about…I finished off a box of wine…one less thing to take over to Ackbar……grin…dedication….~P ->
• Tomorrow we have donations to drop off, have to move the "office" stuff over to Ackbar, carpets to vacuum and clean and get my work done ~P ->

• Habit for Humanity is suppose to pick them up tomorrow, they never called to confirm the time…so I'm just nervous that they won't show ~P ->
• Hubby got the kitchen cleaned, marks on the walls painted, I got the bathrooms & laundry done…we got the washer/dryer to the garage~P ->
• Holy COW! I'm just totally wiped out…..we have been so busy cleaning and busting butts trying to get things done. ~P ->
• Got TONS of stuff to do the next few days to get out of here…plus work….so this is going to be interesting….can we say stress? ~P ->
• Then spent 2-3hrs trying to get it as organized as I could….going to have to reassess the steel bowls/pots & pans set up…icks ~P ->
• Worked on some emails/support, big project today was taking a couple of loads over to Ackbar….kitchen stuff and clothes ~P ->

Tomorrow we start a new phase of our lives. We will be full-timing in our RV!

Excited but cautious. Everything I know, own, and Love is in a aluminum box on wheels.

I am really trying to not think too much of the next few week’s. Trying to stay focused on the now and take everything one step at a time. I know what I have to do and I know the amount of time it must be done in. So starting Early Thursday is a must.

1) Install cat door to outside storage for litter.

2) Tile slide out floor.

3) Assemble 4 Ikea items.

4) Confirm our living/work space will work/function as we planned. If not make needed adjustment’s.

5) Attach Ikea items to slide out floor, attach desk top.

6) Confirm everything is secured properly and safely.

7) Modify existing cat tree into larger cat tree, secure to floor using swivel base.

If I can get this list completed the first week, life will be DAMN GOOD.

Getting up early, eat, make the final run to Ackbar, come back and shower, grab the cat’s and head off to Ackbar to prepare for the first leg of our new life.

When we first viewed this house on August 8, 2008, we was told the property next door would be replacing the privacy fence that had rotted away.

Anyone want to take a guess what was started today, the day before we leave?

We spent the first part of today running from storage unit to storage unit, took more stuff to Ackbar and finally started the cleaning.

Ugh…

We have been cleaning since 2pm and it is now 9:35pm. As soon as the dryer is done I can bring both the washer and dryer downstairs for tomorrows pick up via Habitat for Humanity.

Tomorrow consist of more running to storage units as well as multiple runs to Ackbar, and the final sweeping of carpets.

And hopefully before 6pm we have finished taking everything but the cats, bedding, food, booze, smoke and some clothes to Ackbar as we spend our final night in a empty house.

Tired. Sore. Congested.
