I’m here in a very empty house, with everything that is left in the living room. Very weird.
It isn’t too bad, except I can’t concentrate on getting any work done since I keep thinking about my husband driving cross with a 24ft moving truck, that won’t go any faster then 55mph, while towing our dodge dakota. He actually got through Atlanta a hell lot easier then we thought he would. That city is horrible….ggrrr So we were stressing it. It doesn’t help that the left rear tire lost a lot of tread very early this morning and Harold had to call budget to fix it. Then there is the fact the lack of sleep he has had. I’m hoping that when he stops later this evening that he gets some good sleep. But of course, even though he knows better, he is stressing getting there by the 14th.
We started early yesterday picking up the truck and trailer. Harold started with all the boxes and I started with trying to get things done in the house. Going by the boxes and all the organizers, it barely filled up a fourth of the truck, so we were thinking that we were going have a ton of room left. Big mistake, once we started putting in all the odds and ends that are weirdly shaped that took care of that. We almost ended up leaving our bikes behind. =( We did put our patio table, grill & our hose in the back of our dakota. Then I put my wedding dress, my wall clock and my files in the cab. So we packed everything tight as possible.
We did pretty good without driving each other as nuts as much as we could’ve have. Basically I worked on everything I could away from Harold as he loaded the truck until he needed me. When we are stressing…all we do is get in each others way and with our tempers….not a good thing. I did get everything vacuumed in the house, closed up the rooms with carpets to keep cat fur off of them.  must have lost 3-4 pounds in sweat alone. Good thing I keep the water coming. Afterwards, we took a quick dip in the pool to cool off, ordered some very needed food and then on to the shower.
It was a rough night…I was worrying, didn’t help that our air mattress keep dieing. I think the stress of what it went though last summer is what killed it, so even though all I wanted to do was sleep, I had to head to wally world for a new mattress late last night….crazy. But I was able to park in the garage for the 1st time in years…..in fact, haven’t done that since 2000 when we had the camaro……lol
Today I was barely able to walk, my feet hurt so bad. Then I was totally unmotivated. It is hard to work without a chair for good posture and table…then with everything in disarray…. I did head out for a quick errand. I didn’t go swimming until much later then I wanted because I waited for the lawn guys to show up and cut the grass.
I work the next 2 days, so I won’t really be able to go swimming until Monday, depending on what time I head to the movies.
Somehow I need to get my ass motivated to get the bathrooms, oven, ‘fridge and other things cleaned…..I’m really not looking forward to the oven….icks Right now, I just don’t feel like doing any of it……just feel like laying here with my cat and listen to my HP audio books….and wait for Harold’s calls.
I tried watching some of the pre-season football games, but they don’t mean crap so it makes it harder to enjoy.
Well, I wrote a book………….enjoy. =)
