Just an area for what I’m doing on an everyday basis.

About Time

My bandages are off! Unfortunately I still have the stitches….which I was hoping to get rid of. I can’t go swimming (no soaking) but I can take normal get clean showers. Which is hard enough to stand and not move too quickly.

My feet remind me of frankstein….I have stitches on both sides of my heels (which I thought it was only going to be on one side) and a big ass ugly bruise down the inside of my feet following my tendon. I may take pics, I haven’t decided.

I can wear regular tennis shoes. But I’m walking funny. Going to take time to get over my tenderness and learn how to walk correctly…..those boots with bandages mess you up that way.

I worked a shift today……had to sit down a lot and my feet are tender. But what really, really hurts is my calves. Because of not walking regularly for a week, walking funny and still walking funny……damn, they hurt. I put some bengay on them hoping that I don’t lock up tonight.I work the next few days…..I should be able to work it out……..some how.

I get my stitches out next week and I’m hoping that I’m almost back to normal on my walking. I really need to attack the bedroom and bathroom for packing. And I’m starting to stress what we need to keep out for our move.

We finalized our place out in Portland the other day. What a huge, huge stress reliever. It is actually just outside of Portland, but nice and we can easily take the public transit to the city. We want to try and not drive as much, a little more enviromentally friendly. It is a 2 story townhouse, 3 bed, 2.5 bath (we have to have at least 1.5), 1 car garage with a gas fireplace. Just dawned on us today to see about having air……….nope it doesn’t. Central air is not something that is standard out there. Us living in the Indiana and then Florida…..it is given. But we shouldn’t be needing it more then a week a year……so we’ll just use fans.

Here is an ad that has the same set up (it won’t last, so check it out) :

We are thinking it will give us time to get to know the area better on where we want to live. It is kind of hard doing it online. =)

A Few Reasons Why To Move To Portland

Portland bewitches travelers, rain or shine

**And people wonder why we want to move to Portland?

Another Day Down

Didn’t get as much accomplished online like I hoped I would. I don’t know if it was because I had the time and I put it off or the fact that I couldn’t go outside to work and get relief by jumping in the pool or the fact that I couldn’t really break up the day with some actually satisfying physical work. Strange………that was a lot of “or”s. =)

I’m so looking forward to tomorrow morning. I should be getting these bandages off and then I can walk normal without discomfort. Then I can do something with this house and be able to go swimming and shower standing up!!! The little things that make life enjoyable.

I do have to work the next 5 days, but they aren’t the shifts I use to have to do. I will say that I’m not looking forward to my paycheck……lol….I work to keep my sanity and insurance, but it will be a shock.

We got our place taken care of in Portland. Now I need to contact all the utilities and whatnot for when we get there. I had to find the city site to figure out who to contact.

Well, I need to attempt to get some sleep…….which hasn’t been coming easily to me the last few nights. I really need to have my physical active to wear me down.

Another Day Down

Well, today wasn’t that productive.  But that is what happens when you can’t move as freely.

I think what makes it rough, is that for the last 2 nights I haven’t sleep very well.  I’m starting to stress the packing and moving.  If I was able to throw myself into the packing, that would help me plan  Once I get things planned, I can handle it.  But I can’t even get that relief for the stress…………uuuuhhhggggg So while I can’t do anything, I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to attack everything.

My feet are tender when I put weight on them, but pain due to the surgery is pretty much none existent….it is more of a discomfort.  What is hurting to walk is the bandages, there is small lump in one heel so it reminds you of a small rock.  On the other foot, the side of my foot is discomforted from walking kind of lopsided due to the bandages.  It is a weird mix.  I’m so close….ggrrrrr

I know, I’m bitching……but I am going crazy here.  I sat on the patio for 5 minutes and got 5 bug bites!  icks!  It wasn’t even sundown.
I did get a few items added to the store.  =)  Tomorrow I’m going to put some music one and just got to town.

Harold needs to do an errand tomorrow.  I’m debating on going with him just to get out of the house.   Well, see.
