I just got back from the foot doctor. When I was in Kansas I did a lot of physical labor and moving and crouching down and running and just about anything else you can on your feet, I did.
After 4+ years of working behind the desk with little physical activity I was actually surprised how well my feet held up, little to no pain for the majority of the 11 days, until I was flying home that’s when I was feeling a fair amount of pain in my left foot.
The next day I was in major pain, and for the next 2 days I just sat in a chair and relaxed since I thought the pervious 11 days was catching up with me. But the pain never left my foot, even when I was not on my feet I could and still can feel it. So after a month I realized something was wrong and I went to the foot doctor today to have it looked at expecting sprained muscles at worse.
Not a broken foot.
I actually broke my foot working, so whoever said “hard work never hurt anyone†is full of shit cause that’s a load of crap, I’m hurt dammit and it was caused by hard work!
I forgot what the bone I broke is called, but follow your big toe on the bottom of your feet to the “ball†there are 2 small bones there about the size of a peanut, I broke one of those which was very noticeable on the x-ray even to me. I am now wearing inserts that have a 30% chance of healing it. In 3 weeks I go back and get more x-rays to see what it is doing, but worse case I get a foot operation to remove the bone since it is easier to remove the bone then fix it. Of course if I do get it removed I am looking at a week in bed and 3 weeks of pain and healing, good thing I work from home and at a desk.
So life is wonderful, no bare feet, no running or anything sports related and I get to wear inserts which make me feel much older then I am.

It was nice to get some work done without kids understep today but I missed them all the same except the arguments of course. They were ready to go back to I bet to see their friends and get away from each other. Just got back from walmart with stuff needed for dinner tonight. Its an easy dinner but one of dads favorite /hotdogs:) I hope you enjoyed your days off.I’m going to finishes upstairs mess. Well I love You sis.LOVE,MeLinda

Today was a productive day for me.
I dragged Harold to the store for some organizers and did some grocery shopping. When we got home, I cleaned up and reorganized my desk, did the laundry, balanced the checkbooks, paid some bills, entered those, gathered trash, changed the litters and went through some of my junk and tossed stuff I no longer need. I did good. =) I even cleaned the windows to my truck…..just need to vacuum it out.
Tomorrow I need to get a few more organizers for the garage, so I can attack that. Harold has a doctor appt. and I have the bug guy coming by again. Damn carpenter ants. =(
Then I really need to attack my online work…..I only have 3 more days off….I need to use them to the fullest….I don’t want to go back for at least another week. =)

I started off the day with some major self-indulgence…..grin I had my spa appointment at 9:30, started off with a 25min deep message………damn, my muscles needed that. Then went for my deep pore facial, that took over an hour and when they do facials those also includes messaging the neck, shoulders, arms and head…… If you haven’t had one, you need to.
Well, I had some $ left on the gift card and decided at the last minute to see if they could fit me in for a hair coloring……grin I’m now my favorite burgundy/purple color, at least for the next week or so. I haven’t done that color in so long…..it was wild to see the change. In fact when I showed the girl the color I wanted I could see the surprise on her face since it is so different from my natural strawberry blonde….. It came out great.
Considering that I did nothing for the 1st half of the day, I’m pretty proud on how much I got done today………grin
I got all our receipts entered from last year……….that was about 2 months worth. Got the majority of my files ready for next year, I need to pick up some more folders to finish it off. And now I just need to balance the checkbooks and pay a few bills and the office paperwork will be caught up.
I’m not sure of what I’m doing tomorrow. I have a list of things that I want to attack, just not sure where I want to start. But it also depends on the games going on. If there are games on, I’ll find something to do in the office or bedroom.
I really want to attack the garage, but I’m not sure what I want to do container wise for my books. I think the reason why I’ve been thinking about the garage because it is kind of packing for Portland. It’ll help me take stock of what we have, what I should get rid of and what not.
I do have a lot of things I need to do online, but I work better with the TV off and music on for that. =)
We did get to watch the Colts win!!!! GO HORSE!!!
And we just say the Seahawks pull it off! Hot damn! Cowboys are out………grin
