Semi-Productive Day

It wasn’t until after we had been home for a couple of hours from the beach that I actually got into getting things done. Some times when I look at my desk I feel trapped by the mess and the room, almost closephobic. Doesn’t help that the office is the warmest room in the house due to all the pcs. That just saps my strength.Well, I attacked the checkbook, the bills and played with some numbers to know where we stand. Which involved me cleaning the mess off of my desk, that it so badly needed. I still have a small mess, but once I get a few letters printed out that will be gone. =)
I also got the most of my letters done. I’m just not looking forward to all the printing that I’m going to need to do.Tomorrow I think I’m going to try to catch up the last few weeks of receipts, call my folks and maybe work on this summer’s pictures. That is my high goal anyway…………grin

The Penn St. & Notre Dame game sucked. =( Big disappointment. We are watching Ohio St & Texas duke it out.

Saturday Off

I’ve been working a lot this week. Now I have a few days off. Including today, I have 3 days off before we head out to Seattle. Wow, it is right around the corner but it seems like it is farther away. I need to start thinking of packing…..the part I hate about traveling.

We went to the beach this morning, so we could watch the shuttle take off. We got a good look at it, even with the clouds around the cape.  Here are the pics from the launch.

I’m currently trying to motivate myself here to get some work done, but I really don’t want to do shit……..lol

I have a ton of private messages and emails to do, a very messy desk, bills & check book balancing……icks. I just want to vegge out………..lol

We have the Penn St & Norte Dame game on. We really want Penn. St. to take them down, because we believe that they are over hyped. And we hate overhyped.

Been keeping an eye on SI site for play-play updates on the Purdue-Miami, OH game. Lets just say we are disappointed. =(

Evening, just been vegating out on my day off today. Got some sun on my back, a little too much. Lost myself in re-reading some fiction. Pretty much didn’t get much done other then a few emails. I really need to get my mind set back into work at home. My next 2 days off are together, so hopefully I can work on that.

I also need to get my mind set into our Seattle trip and pack on the personal hygene stuff.

We did our FFL draft last Friday. I got an ok team, could’ve been better.

Purdue won over Indiana St. (who are a division 2 team, so they better have). Ind. St. got on the board more then they should have. Unfortunately with being in Florida and it been a division 2 team we ad to read up on the game online. Sounds like our special teams need some work.

‘Freakish’ Accident Kills Crocodile Hunter

It has been all over the news and the blogs. I couldn’t believe when Harold told me this morning. I wasn’t one for watching his show but enjoyed what I did see of him and what he did for wild life. He will be missed. =(

I swear, I had a lot more that I wanted to write about when I was thinking of things last night. But for the life of me I don’t have a clue of what they were……….lol So I guess this post was nothing but a babble.

Office Work Accomplished

I actually got some work done.  I got nearly all my emails caught up and I’m very happy that I got all my receipts caught up.  Those needed to be done so I don’t fall even more behind when we head out to Washington.

I’m actually starting to find my desk.  It was really starting to piss me off every time I looked at it.  A messy desk is not a normal thing for me growing up, but it seems to have become the norm the last year.  And that really annoys me.  So getting some of that work done, was great on getting rid of a huge annoyance.

Now what I need to do is actually finish up a letter to Melinda and get that off.  Then my next big project will be working on the pics from this summer.  I really need to get those done.  But it will be hard since I miss the kids.  =(

We just got done watching our Soprano dvd and put it off in the mail.  Damn, I can’t wait for the next one.  They are addicting.

Another Day

I actually got a few things done today considering our time started out being wasted by having to wait for a delivery that we should’ve received yesterday.  =(

After we got that we ran to the store and picked me up a new handless headset for my cell and Christina Aguilera’s new cd.  It is the 1st time in about 10yrs that I picked a cd on the day that it was released.  =)  But I really enjoy her voice and her courage to take the risks for musical growth.

I then lost time trying to work our scanner.  We brought it about 6 months ago and have always used the printer function, just never the scanner.  So that gave me a few hours of grief.  I finally got it figured out. =)  So that was cool.

Once that was all figures out, I set myself up back out on the patio got some work done while listening to the new cds while cooling off & getting some exercise with a dip in the pool here and there.  I even got a good start on a letter to my sister, which serves as a good outline for my aunt & extra ma. =)  Now I just need to go through it.

I have to big projects that I didn’t get to touch, working some family pics and our receipts.  =(    But I’m happy that I got some other work done that I hope leads to a step in the right direction.

I’m not looking forward to work tomorrow for 2 reasons.  One, I still have so much that I need to do at home.  Two, because even though I felt we did really good on getting things done while the boss was out of a town, I have a sense of dread that it wasn’t enough.  Oh well…….that is life, I can only do so much.

Harold has set up a date for our FFL draft, now I just need to make sure that my schedule doesn’t change.  =)  I’m looking forward to football season.  It’ll give me some fun things to have on my mind.  =)
