Checking In

Hey everyone!

I’ve been doing the normal work thing. Even though I added a twist Saturday. (Don’t ask me how) but I jammed my left index finger into some boxes at work. Dang! It hurts like heck & it was all swollen. One of my fellow managers (Kristy) use to be an EMT and said it may be fractured, but that isn’t for sure. So I’ve been taping it up, since that is all any doctor would do. It does feel a lot better taped up, I will say. I’m hoping it is just sore & tender and that it’ll be better soon. It annoys the heck out of me, since it makes things like typing a real chore.

As Harold had posted that Purdue lost. =( Our defense spent way too much time on the field. We play Notre Dame next week. I hope we smash them….grin… But I do like this story : Weis uses play called by boy dying of brain tumor

I lost my Fanasty Football League game this week to Harold, by one point…….lol I was 2-0. That is okay, I’d rather lose to him.

Some of things I need to get done within the next week or so (this is a To Do List mainly to keep my mind on track…grin) 1. Get all the pics I got from mom organized 2. Write a couple of letters 3. Back up all my info from my laptop 4. Then I need to reformat my laptop…..primily to clean it up and organize it better……5. I really need to get to my emails…..I’ve been neglectful as of late. =( 6. Paint the Kitchen & Spare bath

I had to go get my nails done. I ended up getting a whole new set, it was time. Ended up doing some running around after that. Then just spent the rest of the day trying to get things done around the house.

Well, it’s bed time. =)

I’m Back

Wow, after a ton of posts, I just dropped off the face of the earth, didn’t I? =)

I just got busy as heck with work. Today was my day off………yeah right…..lol Our boss stopped by & I had to go in. No big deal, got some things taken care of….but it was on less then 24hrs notice. We weren’t expecting him until Thursday, but the company scheduled a training seminar that I need to go to and so does he. So that is how it happened.

When I finally got home, Harold & I headed to the store, we needed both groceries and paint, cuz that is what our plans were for today & tomorrow. We did get a hallway and one room painted. It is a color called desert echo. It is a sandy type of orange. I’m not a big orange fan, but we really wanted to try something different and that was the color that caught my eye. I think, partly, cuz it seems to fit with being in Florida. We are going to do the living room in a light yellow, again not a big fan, but first we need to paint the ceiling and that will be a project in of itself.

I don’t know if we really want to do the master bed or the office (maybe just one or two of the walls). I do want to do the spare bath, cuz they have a horrible color thing going on and the kitchen.

We’ve been keeping an eye on Rita, luckily we didn’t get the hit of the Keys, but we’ve been getting the outer bands. I’m really hoping that the forecasters aren’t correct about it becoming a category 4, but they probably are correct. I really hope that folks are learning from the New Orleans disaster and don’t repeat it.

I’m exhausted……time for bed.

Wednesday Off

I didn’t get as much as done as I wanted to……never got to the letters I wanted to write or to fixing up the pics mom gave me.

It started with the dentist appointment I had and when I get I find that the branch of insurance I have is not the most cooperative of branches when it comes to giving them info. =( I was just having my annual x-rays and check up, so since they knew that was covered they went and agreed to that. My insurance does not seem to want to give them standard info when it comes to what they cover, so when I was done I went and found the info that I had and made copies for them. I now have to see if that office is willing to work with my insurance, but I’m hoping that with the info I gave them (I hope that is what they needed) that they will. We’ll see.

We did pick up some paint swatches so we can see what we would like to do some of the walls. And we took a little time to ourselves and went swimming. We didn’t do that very long since we both had work we wanted to get done.

I spent about 2 hours working on paperwork for work. And now I’m trying to get some of my receipts done before I head to bed………..it’s an early one tonight. =)

Harold wasn’t able to speak of what happened with the jury duty until after the trial happened. I didn’t even know a thing about it. The 1st link is what happened the 1st time they tried to pick a jury out for the trial and why the judge was so strict when he was going through the selection process.

Can You Believe It!

Can you believe that someone is so low as to steal someone’s garbage can? Well there is people like that. Harold forgot to bring the trash can in after the yard waste guys emptied it, it was there when I left for work by 1pm and when I came home around 23:20 it wasn’t there. When I asked Torn where did he put it, he was like he didn’t move it….that is when we figured that out that someone stole it. We’ve had it for over 5 yrs and it is only a $20 thing……..but it is the fact that someone actually took it…..that is messed up.

I need to do some work on the schedule before I take off.
