6 days…

Everything that is in this house is coming with us, either permanently, or until we give to the intended recipient.

What a odd feeling it is to walk around this mostly empty 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 1 car garage knowing, this could be the last time we ever live in a house again?

Everything is in storage. It went as well as the hassle of moving heavy, odd shaped objects, into storage without damaging anything, could go. Happy that part is over.

When we moved to FL, it was 95F when we unloaded the truck, the second FL move was 97F. The move from FL to OR was 100F in FL and 105F in Oregon. The move to this house it was 107F. And I was sick as hell during the move. That so did not help.

ENOUGH!

After 1 month of living here I decided I never wanted to move in hot weather again, so we extended our lease here by 2.5 years so it would expire at the end of February and not August like the last ones.

Today was 58F and perfect for moving.

Cat’s have figured out something is up. They are mostly ok, but Sakura has been hiding more, not that there are many place’s left that she can still hide in. Drew is cool, I think he will take to being outside more then Sakura will.

She was missing for about 22 hours, we had only had them for about 5 month’s at the time. For whatever reason, out of the blue, she bolted outside when Pauline opened the door one day, it was our first nice “Spring Day” of the year and it was so totally ruined.

We found her the next day after spending countless hours walking that area, posting sign’s, calling shelter’s etc. 22 long horrible hours. Pauline found her huddled near our patio in a vent. She has not been eager to go outside since.

And she still growls at the humans from the window.

We know where we will be for at least the next 2 week’s, possibly 3 weeks. And we know where we will be from April 22 to August. We have no idea where we will be from mid March to mid April and no idea where we will be from August on.

Scary.

Exciting.

1 week…

We just finished tearing down the master bedroom, and everything that was still upstairs, is now downstairs. We get the moving truck tomorrow, I expect 1-2 trips to the storage unit, and with luck we will be done in time for lunch.

Things are really starting to get real here…

2 weeks…

Stress is a daily factor now. Finding a new way to deal with it is the challenge.

We have Ackbar once more. He was at the dealer’s for the past two week’s getting some work done. What started out as some minor things ended up being major issue’s. Nothing money can’t fix.

sigh.

We had both side window’s cleaned and resealed, I can now see mirror’s as if that was important, and they look wonderful. We found out the convertor was not operating correctly so that was also replaced, which also explains why we was having such power loss we was just assuming “newb related error’s”. We also had a “broken gutter” above the main slid out, exactly where I pointed out the leak, and that of course is bad, but it has been fixed, resealed as well as the bedroom seals and gutter.

We have also been making final detail’s on our new work/living space in the slide out. We have the floor padding, flooring, desk and other related items needed to complete the slid out but decided to make some changes.

It was too big and had too many question’s when by making it smaller we had more option’s, so tomorrow we will be taking a few things back to Ikea for exchange/return and making another stop at HomeDepot on the way home.

I have also finished organizing the current data base of pictures we have from 1993 to present day so I will be adding new picture’s over the next few week’s, dated the date they was created.

I admit it. I am padding our blog.

Peace.
