Indiana Town Divided by the Super Bowl
It is so weird to see towns that we know, have been to on major news networks. On the CNN video, it starts in Merriville…………hell that is where I learned how to drive to get to the mall. And then all the way down I-65 to Lebannon………. Both Harold and I have been up and down that stretch of road so many times that we know it like the back of our hands. Then they are showing how flat, snowy and cold it is….icks..that is when I hated to drive it the most.
I never will claim to be from Indiana, I hate the politics of that state and the narrow mindness of it, so I claim Alaska. But I did live there for about 15yrs and you can not not be influenced by it. Like basic work ethic, that I don’t see from the kids here, police officers actually being nice while doing their job………..decent corn, pork, melon, the stuff down here either has no flavor, taste like water or is just bad……makes me feel as if I have conflicting personalities…….
We have been watching all the pre Super Bowl stuff, while trying to get a few things done. It is chilly down here and I haven’t been able to warm up yet, except for the shower. But we are waiting for the game anxiously………some more anxiously then the other.
I have downloaded Thunderbird from Mozilla. It took time but I got all the email stuff set up. I use to love my Outlook professional, but it has been pissing me off lately, so I switched. I have noticed that I’m not getting no where near the amount of spam that I normally get and that was with having norton anti-spam with the outlook. It is kind of nice, but makes me think that I didn’t set it up correctly even though I am getting email. I did notice that I can set it up for rss feeds, so I’m going to play around with that.

*** I love this! This is the example of the standards that police officers should hold themselves to. They are not above the law and this is the perfect reminder of that. And the fact that he did not let HIMSELF get away with it……it just gives me hope.

It has been a long day. Â
I took the truck in to get the stereo put in. They were nice enough to let me know that it would be a couple of hours and that they would call me when they were ready. (It was first come first serve) So I didn’t have to wait around and head on home.
I got the call about 2 hrs later and headed on in. Towards the end of 2 hrs found out that the tuner wasn’t working.   =( So I was totally disappointed. I was able to get the stereo exchanged, but didn’t have time to try and get it back in. It didn’t help that I was starving.
So I picked up some food and headed on home. We ate and chilled out. As time went on I wasn’t just feeling well. I wasn’t feeling too well last night and I just felt like crap tonight. I had some hot tea and then hot chicken soup and biscuits for supper. I am currently having hot cocoa and in my sweats.
We did get all of our music converted for my ipod. I’m still trying to figure out how to use it from the external…….with having itunes on my laptop with its own library.  Harold has downloaded itunes to his laptop and may have it figured out…..go figure. I am just not feeling well enough to think.
After all the crap that Harold went through with the horrible support from MS for his xbox, we decided to see if we could just exchange it where I brought it. It was the most simplest of returns we ever did. We didn’t think about it because most electronics say you can’t return and you have to deal with the manufacture.  Now let’s see if we don’t have anymore issues with it.
Oh yeah, we also picked up season 1 of Scrubs……..grin We now have all available seasons. =) We are addicted to that show…………grin
I have a dental cleaning tomorrow morning and then it off to work…….ugh  Harold is going to see if he can get the truck in for the stereo installation. I hope so, I’m so looking forward to it.

What is funny about it is that we both figured that kid was doing something. When you see the video you can see the Tigger trap the kids arm as if to stop him from doing something. There was no doubt in our minds that Tigger was provoked…..it is kids like that make me thankful that we don’t have any.

Without having our troops there so many more innocents will suffer with a full blown civil war and then there is the fact that we caused the mess so I feel that it is our responsibility to make sure that it doesn’t happen. On the other hand I don’t think that there is anything we can do without making it worst. And I feel the troops need to come home. They are going through so much and it seems for nothing………especially with the shitty way this administration treats them with the cutting of VA funding….ggrrr
