Our friends in Portland were sweet and went and visited the neighborhood where we are moving to. Here are a few of the pictures…….looks nice and well taken care of. As long as it is quiet, it will be all good.

Alright, I finally got it done. All the pictures from last year have been posted through out the site. Even got all of Harold’s pictures from his trip to his folks up. =)  They are through out the site & don’t forget to check out some of the ones from BAM.  Here are example of a few:

I’m here in bed. I did spend a few hours in the office, but the angle that I have to propped my feet up and the office chair really hurt my lower back. Which really sucked, because it was at least a different room. The good thing about the bedroom is that I can eat from a tv tray while keeping my feet up. In the office I have to hold my plate under my chain….don’t care for that.
I did get some work done today. I have some more that I need to do and more then likely will have to do in the office.
Harold has been totally great on taking care of me. I’m just so impatient to be able to walk again, at least for short distances without so much pain. Sadly, crawling has been so less painful….but it gets me to where I need to be.
I had to sit on the bottom of the shower to wash my hair and whatnot, but it felt great to be clean. It was kind of embarrassing to do it in that manner, but hey whatever works.
The History Channel (one of my favorites) has had a marathon on the show The Revolution. It has been interesting. Unfortunately, I can’t just sit and watch so I’ve been working so I don’t know how much sunk in. =)
I love fireworks, when it the 4th or New Years Eve, when it is dark out and they sparkle so pretty against the night sky. I love sparkle things…..it is my girlie thing. But I HATE them when it isn’t a holiday and all they do is give off noise! What the fuck is the point of those ones that just pop??! All they do is annoy me and make me think if white trash in the midwest. I hope they hurt their fingers with them. It scares my cats. =(
What a lot of folks don’t realize is the reason that they have been used to celebrate Independence Day is because it sounds as the musket fire between the Continental Army and the British Army. I spent some of childhood years in Maryland and on the post we lived they would have a reenactment of Revolutionary battle. It was neat to watch from my back yard.
Here are some pics of my toes :
Don’t they look like sausages?
Icks!! No makeup!

Reggie has been getting more rats in his fur, so for the last few days I have been taking the trimmer to him getting as much as I can and today I took the scissors to his belly and trimmed a good 1†off his fur there and then more trimmer work, he looks “ragged†but in a week he will look much better…. Except that one spot…. Opps… my bad. I then gave him a bath, it has been 6 months or so since his last bath, he didn’t appreciate this one at all, but he looks and smells much better. Toni was leaving for work and told me to give Alexis a bath as well… it has been 12+ years since her last bath… so yeah, this went real well. She was “ok†until I started to rinse her off then it was the end of the world for her. I dried her off and she showed me love by grabbing the back of my neck with both paws… actually claws… Yep… that hurt. So I towel dried them as much as I could, both pretty much calmed down when they got back on the floor, and Alexis pretty much went straight for the food… weird cat. Both have been trying to lay on my lap, Reggie got on and then bolted, Alexis came on and stayed for a good 30 mins then left and is now back… I had taken my own shower after I was done with her and my clean shorts are now damp and furry…. Stupid cats. .

Picking up a dead “Red-shouldered hawk†for sure wasn’t on my list.
We got the first rain in over a month today, it was coming down in sheets and a lot of thunder and lighting, so I go outside to the porch to watch and I see a big bird body laying in my yard. I wait until the rain somewhat lightens up and I go out to confirm it is for sure dead and snapped a few pictures of the body.
It looks like, IMHO, this hawk was chasing prey and the prey out smarted and out maneuvered it and it slammed into the ground head first. Top of it’s head was covered in dirt and blood was coming out of it’s mouth.
I have seen this bird a few times, it would land on the rooftops around here and scream a loud cry, I had wanted to get pics of it many times, but never had my camera when I saw it and it would fly away too fast.
Guess I have plenty of time to take its pic now.
Anyway, if you want to look here they are.

In other news, we are getting a cage for the raccoon and the babies, she has pooped in my pool too many times, and its too fucking disgusting to let go, I feel terrible I know its not her fault, but we can’t have this.
I blame all the recent construction going on, even more wooded areas have been cleared out near us.
Its time for us to move on…
