Weekend Off

I had the weekend off. We ended up having some beautiful weather, sunny, highs 82-84 but breezy. Pool was a crisp 75-80, but we did jump in for some swim time. Harold is braver then I and then he makes fun of me on how and how long it takes me to get in………lol

It is days like this that I’m happy as hell that we have laptops with wireless connection. Cuz we set ourselves up outside in the patio and did our work there. I don’t know if it is mental, but when I’m at my desk for too long I start to get nausea. Working outside didn’t do that to me, but maybe it is cuz of the fresh air. It was nice to be able to do that.

We found out that we will be getting the kids by the end of May. Dad needs to get surgery for his shoulder at the beginning of June and we were wanting to get the kids about then so mom & dad could have a kid free anniversary. So we’ll get them just a little bit earlier so dad doesn’t have to stress his recovery time. We’re thinking that we may have them for about 6 weeks or so. Waiting on mom to figure out the dates for us.

Aaaggg………….I don’t want to go to work tomorrow……….lol

NFL owners approve six-year CBA extension

sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2360258

“…Labor peace was restored to the NFL when the owners agreed to the players’ union proposal Wednesday, extending the collective bargaining agreement for six years.

There were no further details on the agreement, including whether it includes expanded revenue sharing.

The vote was 30-2, with Buffalo and Cincinnati, two low-revenue teams, voting against it…”

Natural Born Killer

I guess no matter how hard I try not to kill, it just come naturally to me, so here is this journal I will confess my deeds to all of the world.

We have 2 garden hoses, one has been stored on a hose reel and the other has just been wrapped upon itself on the ground since we moved to FL. Well the one on the reel has been leaking since we moved down here and for whatever reason I decided to switch them out today.

So I unwrap the reel and hook up the other hose which has sat on the ground for 9 months at least, I put on the nozzle and turn the water on, it works perfectly then stops, so it dawns on me there must be leaves and crap in there so I undo the nozzle and a shit load of crap comes out including a gecko lizard. It was pretty small and just sat where it landed so I touch it to see if its alive and it takes off…..whew…

Then I notice the nozzle has a tail sticking out of it and see another larger gecko is in my nozzle. I try to get him to come out, but I know better then to pull on its tail, so I nock it against the hose a few times and then figure out it is more then likely dead… and its head is caught in the moving parts of the nozzle, I try to take the nozzle apart, but no dice so I need a new nozzle and I need to bury a lizard.

After I deal with that body I decide to reel in my hose and while doing so I move the stand it is on and see the other smaller gecko bolt from under it to my foot, which at the time I was off balance and had all my weight on the other foot and was trying to get my balance and sure enough…. As soon as it bolts I get my other foot down and yep…Killed it…

I lived in FL for 1 year and 9 months and in all that time I have never gotten close to touching a gecko until today and I kill 2 in 5 mins….

Parents lock up your children tonight; there is a murderous madman on the loose…
