Pauline's Happenings

This is from June/July 1999 we wanted to do something different, prior to this we would go to Minnesota or Washington but we wanted to see Key West, so we flew into Miami and rented a car and drove to Key West for a 5 days or so and then spent another 2 days in the Homestead, FL areas looking around Everglades National Park as well as a Alligator farm and the Coral Castle.

We took a 3 day cruise from Miami to The Bahamas. While we enjoyed parts of the trip we learned a very important lesson.

Never travel with people you do not trust. It just isn’t worth it.

We had some other factors as well, I was working nights at the time so our sleeping pattern was way messed up, and at the time, the cruise line did NOT offer food 24 hours a day and we had to endure a VERY long 9 hours for breakfast to be served.

But we did get to snorkel and site see so in the end, that is all that matters.

We had a cheap underwater disposable camera and was lucky enough to get this one picture of the Manta Ray’s. Still one of my all time favorite pictures!
