We go Wii Wii….

Wii!

I am starting to feel my arm after throwing some serious heat in Baseball. And I actually like Golf and we both love bowling. Boxing leaves much to be desired and to make it worse we bought 2 pairs of the boxing gloves so that was a nice waste of $… But still, this is fun. I never thought I would have bought one until I started to play a few games, thanks to my pals Kris & John they showed me something with stupid name could be fun.

The Xbox 360 still kicks it’s ass but it’s something different….

And now thanks to my sore right arm, I am typing worse then I normally do which is bad. And we are going to join a gym tomorrow… how sad is it that we are joining a gym so we can play video games better?

Next on the list is a PS3 (Thanks to stupid Sony and their stupid BluRay… 1 month after buying my HD Player for the 360) and the old Sega and SNES consoles, I want to relive my youthful days….

How Do I Feel?: sore sore

Today’s Babble

We got our wii today. After arguing with fed ex……..gggrrrr My body is sore. =) Thanks to our friends Kris & John for bringing theirs down, we just had to get it. An actually video game that I will play. Hell, my parents played more video games then I did when I was a kid.

I’m just hoping that playing wii today will help me settle down in bed tonight. For some reason it has been hell on getting comfortable. And the other night it was so bad that I went downstairs just so my husband could sleep because I was so restless.

Actually went back to raining today after some stunning sunny days. But it was become clear again in the afternoon and it was perfect for viewing the lunar eclipse tonight.

We are going to visit a gym tomorrow to see about joining. It is with a national chain and they are all over Portland so it will be easy to transfer to where ever we move to.

I had a lot of other thoughts that I wanted to add, but just don’t remember them………lol

Man, these people are annoying!

** This is so true! If you have traveled as much as I have you would recognize it.

Beautiful Sunday

It was a stunning day weather wise.  Sunny, clear and in the 50s…..a little breezy, but perfect.  Too nice out to stay inside, so I went for a walk today.  It felt good.

One thing I noticed the other day, that when we are driving towards home when Mt Hood comes in view it looks huge and it doesn’t seem that far, but when I walk it seems so distant.  I wonder if it is because the road that we drive is higher up then the road I follow when I walk.  Food for thought.

It is chilly when we get up in the morning, as normal mornings are, but it seems as if we never warm up.  Then it dawns on me, we usually end up in front of the computers so we aren’t moving…….so our circulation sucks and makes us cold.   But I didn’t have to worry about that today…….today is my normal attack the house.  Boy did that warm me up.  I like to vacuum just for the activity it gives me.  Then I did my walk and I’ve barely been chilled since.

I am also hoping that it will help fall asleep.  Activity is great for that.  I can’t wait for the wii…….that will help.

Our truck is as 99,998.5 miles…….I know it is goofy, but I want to try and get a picture of it at 99,999 and 100,000.  The only thing is that it is a digital………so I won’t get the turning of the miles, the old fashion enjoyment of it. I know, I’m weird…….lol

A Boilermaker won the Daytona 500!

**It doesn’t say anything about his association in this article, but Harold said that they were saying the Boilermaker won the Daytona 500.  So that was cool.  I honestly find racing boring………but I’m always happy when a Boilermaker wins……..it is the school pride thing.  =) Here is his wikipedia page : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_Newman

Now this is when Bill Clinton is at his best : Fired Up Bill Clinton Goes Off On Pro-Lifers

**I would love to see the video of that.

Just Chilling

After 2 days of intense work, I’m just chilling mostly.  I some work that I can and will do…….but not the main focus today.  I’ve brought my laptop downstairs just to get out of the office.  Totally tired of it for now.

Grief-stricken? How to deal with pet death

I can honestly say that I have never gotten over it — I’ve just gotten used to it.

**This quote is a perfect description of how I feel.  I thought I was nuts and the only one who hadn’t gotten over it.

The most distressing are hallucination-type experiences that leave an impression that you are hearing familiar sounds of your pet walking or calling. Some people even think that they see their pet out of the corner of their eye, especially after just waking up

**I some times feel as if I should still be seeing them……..even though we have moved since.  This article was nice in that I some of the things that I go through is considered normal.

I have a little quote thing on my google desktop and it came up with a very interesting one from John Adams, our 2nd President and one of the main architects of our government :
“The government of the United States is not in any sense founded upon the Christian religion”

“This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it”

**There is a lot more of similar quotes from other greats on that page, very revealing.

This is coming from one of our most religious of founders.

So I get to livid when people like Huckabee say shit like this :

“But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that’s what we need to do — to amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than try to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view.”

He just needs to be bitch slapped and given a huge history lesson on what this country is founded on.  The founders were very religious and used it to guide them, but they were very well aware of the dangers of a theocracy.  Which people such as Huckabee want us to be, they are no better then the Taliban and the other Islamic extremists……..ggrrrr

Busy and Stressful Worry

Between all the work I’ve had to do the last few days and Reggie, it has been stressful.

I can handle the work load, what I can’t really handle is the worry that I have had for Reggie the last few days.  If you haven’t already, just read Harold‘s post and you’ll know what I’m talking about.

We did get a call from the vet this evening.  Reggie is negative for feline HIV and luerkama  (I know, I can’t spell it).  He has one or two signs that could be cancer, but it could be normal for him since nothing else indicates it.  We trying to weigh whether or not to get the exam where they put something up his nose to see what is going on.  If it is a tumor there is nothing that they can do, but the vet said it could be something small, like a piece of litter or a fungus.  If it is fungus they can give him meds.  I’m not sure if they can do anything if something is stuck.  I just want him to be well.  He still is his grouchy, crabby self……….while looking fricking adorable.

I’m a little less stressed since we have been told from the vet that we don’t need to worry at the moment.  But I still worry about him.  We lost Aurora just over 2 yrs ago and Randi 4yrs ago in April, I am NOT ready to lose any more of my babies.  He is only 13, so I’m keeping his grouchy ass until he is at least 17, the cat average.

We’ll see how it goes, but I’m going to see about getting Alexis a check up.  She throws up too much, not always fur balls…….more of food.  But she eats and drinks fine.  I just wonder if she eats too fast because some of the food is full size pieces.  But it won’t hurt to get her checked out.

We finally order a wii………thanks to Kris and her friend for bringing theirs down during super bowl weekend…..can’t wait until ours gets here.  Of course, Monday is a holiday……….never fails…….we order something and we have to wait longer then normal due to a dang holiday….gggrr   We are suppose to get ours by the 20th.  I think it will be a great stress reliever.

Kansas HS refuses female official

**It is 2008 in the US!  You really would think that we would be over that.  But as another article stated that it is more acceptable to be sexist then racist. Just look as the sexist comments that some of the political pundits make about Hillary.  Morons!

Here is the article about it : Some voters say sexism less offensive than racism

Well, I need to order some office supplies………..my online job ate up the majority of folders that I use for our businesses filing system.  And it eats a lot of copy paper.  Thankfully we can find our printer ink on ebay in bulk.  That has been a life saver.
