11:02 I did good on the treadmill today, screwed up remembering to reset my pedometer….doh….missing .41mile.

Icks…been over a week since a real blog entry….not good. I’ve just been working and lost track. Actually, it seems more and more my life is work. I don’t know if it because I work from home, while when I use to work outside of the house I would get a break by coming home.
I break up my day with the gym, errands and playing with our cats…especially the kittens, they are still playful and they let me get away with it…..lol…the older2 look at me like I’m nuts. =)
I have been trying to make sure I get some personal reading in. I finished Obama’s “Dreams from My Father” which I’ve been wanting to read since I saw at the bookstore so many years ago. It was a very interesting read and gave very good insights into himself on trying to figure out where he belongs in the world, especially racially.
I’m currently reading Joe Biden‘s “Promises to Keep“. I’ve always like Biden, always came across as an honorable and honest guy, with an issue with chattness…lol He is the fun uncle in the family. =) I’m really enjoying some of the insights and stories that he has from behind the scenes of the US Senate. Which also reenforces my impression that the Senators are a more civil and willing to discuss things then the House….which reminds me of bunch of grade school kids at recess with their conduct. I only have about 50-70pgs left to that one. Wondering with payroll Sunday if I’m going to get to finish it this weekend.
They finally signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act into law!!! Yes!! Some of the stuff we women go through in the work place is totally bullshit. I’m so thankful for the women who came before me to make the progress that we have. Here is an editorial on it : Lilly’s Big Day What I really like about this article is that it goes though the some of the case histories and legislative acts it took to get us where we are today, even though we still have a long way to go.
I’m going to do some more reading while I can. =)
