Our goal is to take one day off during the week to do something other then business errands. We are thinking of Wednesdays since that is right in the middle of the week. We made plans to go to the Oregon Zoo and then on to park regardless if it was raining, it usually does it lightly…….no big deal. Well, it started out lightly……………but towards the end it was soaking. Of course, at the last moment I didn’t grab the umbrella and we didn’t have the correct jackets on for it. Boy, we have a lot to get use to in this part of the country. =) But we’ll get it.
So we went to the zoo, it had a pretty cool layout. But the majority of animals were smarter then us humans and took shelter. =) End result being that we didn’t see the zoo at it’s best, but that was our timing. Can’t wait to go back and see it better. What did suck about it was that I was doing good even with being out shape, except for my left foot……….gggrrr……..so annoying
After the zoo the park was out. We were way too wet and it was raining too much. We did need to pick up some milk…………..on to the store we went. We tried a different store near………our 3rd one. I think we found the one that we want to do the majority of our shopping. Much better layout, selection and reasonably priced……that was cool.
When we got home, we attacked some of our work. We focused pretty well and got a bit done.
Today we weren’t too sure on what our plans were going to be. All I knew is that I had 3 errands to do and had to get my nails done. So we divided up the errands and Harold came with me. On the way back we got a GREAT view of the snow covered Mt. Hood when the clouds cleared up some. Damn, if we weren’t in the middle of a main road we would’ve pulled over and took some pictures. Depending on what we need to do tomorrow, I’m thinking we need to go on the back roads and try to get a picture of it if it is clear.
I tried my 3rd salon today for my nails. The other two that I tried I wasn’t too happy with, I think I like this one. Going to try it again to see what other designs they can do.
We are heading out tomorrow night, meeting with friends and business associates. After all our friends and business associates moved from the Florida area that we lived in, we really didn’t get out as much. We really became more of homebodies. Here we actually can have a social life…………got plans through November.
We have ordered me plane tickets for Indy in Dec so I can visit with my family. We are trying to book a trip to Minnesota to visit Harold’s folks, we really need to get out there, but those tickets are 3times as much as to Indy. And the messed up thing, my reasonable priced tickets to Indy have my connecting flight in Minneapolis………..so why are they so crazy just to fly straight to Minnesota and not go on? We were thinking of buying tickets to Indy and just miss the connecting flight and stay in Minnesota………..but it dawned on Torn that our luggage would go one to Indy…….doh.
Nutter……we are thinking of driving out. I’ll be able to hit a few more states that I haven’t been too…..but I hate the pit stops…..stresses me out……….ggrrr We’ll figure out. We haven’t been out there in years……..actually, I sent Harold out there in April to help his mom and her computer, as a good wife should. =)
