Alright, I had my meeting and I did get all my receipts caught up and organized. So I feel good that I got done.

Friday we are heading to Orlando to take care of some business……so that will take up all of that day. So on my next day, I need to start our taxes…….icks! I’m not looking forward to that.

Now for some politics : Walter Reed problems seen as system wide

***Alright, this really pisses me off. Not just for the the treatment of our veterans……………but for the fact that these has been going on for 30yrs!!!!!! All you have to do is look at male homeless in their 50-60s!! The majority of them are ‘Nam vets. It just really pisses me off that my father and my late grandfather and late uncle Rod have dealt with the VA. Military hospitals are no better for enlist dependents…….they were bad.

I remember visiting my uncle in the Lake Shore Dr, VA in Chicago. I was 15 and even I could identify my 1st ever smell of death, the hopelessness, the feel of defeat in the air. It was horrible.

Why does this country treat its vets like it does? And why the hell it has NEVER been address before now? The only time I remember it ever been address in the media was the movie Article 99. I don’t even think that movie brought much attention to the issue.

But because of that movie the VA’s no longer allowed patients to carry their files from across the hall. Both military & VA hospital have a convenient habit of “losing” incriminating info. So patients would copy their files when they got a hold of them. That is why my father made copies of all his records before turning them over to the VA.

It is so fucked up…..

Now time for something more positive….I finally did up those pictures that I took during our store meeting in Jan. It was our last meeting with Sandee.  Which is why I had my cameras.  =)

Now since I’ve gotten a new camera, I’ve been working a lot.  So my only subjects have been my co-workers and some of my regular customers.  I’ve been driving them nuts………grin  What is great is that my new camera fits in my pockets……grin

Nothing much ………..

Boy, I’m wiped out.  It has been a long weekend at work.  I have tomorrow off, but have to go in for a meeting.  =(  I’m not looking forward to missing out on time that I need here to work.

Haorld talked to D yesterday.  Says he is sounding much better then he did earlier this week, thankfully.

My brain isn’t together to really think right now.  But here is an article that I’m loving…..the fight for the separation of church and state…….I’m so tired of those extreme bible thumpers that shoving their morality beliefs down our throats and into our laws.  They remind me off all those nosy olds ladies that should keep their opinions and mouths to themselves.

I talked to D today

He sounded much better and more like his old self when I talked to him today compared to when I spoke to him on Wednesday when his voice was a completely different pitch. He said he was sitting up in his room watching TV with his boys eating sherbet.Prior to talking to him I spoke to his wife and a mutual friend who was visiting him, and both told me he is better, but he’s not out of the woods yet. The tumor was removed and was cancerous, but how bad it really is we don’t know yet, and it will be a week or so before we do now once they run some test.

His heart “problem” could have just been stress at the time his EKG was taken, and the surgeon noticed a “lump” or something on the side of the neck which could be a cyst or a mole, their family Dr will have to look it over.

So I feel better, a bunch of us who know D are sharing emails so everyone is keeping in touch and I have more phone numbers to call to friends who I only seen 2 times in the last 15 years.

Its “odd” to realize that as popular as D is with all the friends he has, that I am included inside his “family circle” which includes some really great people from all over the US and Canada, I just never been the most popular person but yet, D and I stuck together for over 16 years.

So I feel somewhat better today, his wife will tell him everything in a day or so and they will be meeting with some specialist this week.

Just taking one day at a time right now, and odds are I will be driving up to see him when I am in Portland. That fucker… makes me drive 6 hours there, deal with customs and 6 hours back… I better get some BBQ out of this.

D Update

Harold called and talked to D’s wife, Lisa, thankfully it may not be as bad it sounds!!

The issue with his heart may be stress related and now nothing is showing up on the ekg.  The doctors seem confident that he will recover from the cancer tumor.  But we aren’t sure of the throat?

He still has issues, but it sounds much better then we thought……..thank god!

Just Filling You In………

Well, you saw my post about Diesel…………it sucks. =(

But I was planning on another post before that……just let everyone know what I’ve been up to.

Well, it is the same story here on being busy as hell at my day job. Dealing with employees that can be good, but feel like I have to nag and kick them in the ass to get them moving……….it is so annoying.

I had a very long day yesterday. I had to get nails done, especially since I had chip a few of them. So I got in just after 5 and they were busy as heck. They were able to get me in for a pedicure right away. While she was doing my toes I decided that I need a whole new set of nails. So I pried all the old ones off. =) It saves on time and money…….grin I had to wait to get my nails done. In fact I didn’t get out until almost 8:45pm! But they did a great job on my design…..I actual did a pink and red combo, not my normal color scheme.

It was great to come home. We had gotten our order from Omaha Steaks

I love their stuff! If you haven’t tried it, you have got to. Harold made chicken cordon bleu and potatoes au gratin (we are so addicted to those). It was great.

Today I got the lawn mowed.

I did get my new camera!!! Unfortunately, I haven’t had time to play around with it much. I love what I have played with.

We’ve been tense all day wanting to know how D was doing. So I tried to stay busy and get things done.  Made Harold some oatmeal cookies.

I stopped working on that once we got the email. Been hard to getting my mind back on track. I did get some private messages and emails done. They have been sitting for too long.

Thankfully we have Scrubs on dvd…..they are great for trying to get your mind off of things.
